Self Love

I read in "The Bluest Eye" that love is never greater than the lover and that could never be more true. You can never love someone in anyway that exceeds the way in which you are as a person. The way that you love and appreciate yourself will be reflected in the way that you love/show love someone else. If you're selfish, you're going to love selfishly, if you carry conditions in your dealings with people then you're going to love conditionally, and so forth and so forth. Recognize who you are and how you love yourself and that will help you to understand how you love others.
